“A friend called me in tears after her eighth doctor's appointment. 'They said it's just stress again.’ It wasn't stress. It was endometriosis—diagnosed six months later after irreversible damage.”

Growing up, I was always drawn to women's health issues—the way women's bodies are misunderstood, the way their pain is minimized, the barriers they face in getting proper care. When I came to the US, I expected the healthcare system here to be more advanced. And in many ways, it is.

But I was stunned by how many women told me stories of being dismissed, ignored, or told their symptoms were 'just stress.' Educated, articulate women who couldn't get doctors to take them seriously. Women who knew something was wrong but couldn't get anyone to listen. I've spent my career fascinated by how technology can solve problems that seem impossible.

We have the technology to help women prepare for appointments, detect dismissive patterns, advocate for themselves. The question isn't whether we can build this—it's why hasn't anyone done it yet? - Akshita Arora, Co-Founder
